It's a sad time of year for golfers.

The weather is getting cool. The days are getting short. And the days of golf left in the season is rapidly declining.

But it's not all bad news. Because to make the fall a little more pleasant, The Ranches Golf Club is has changed its rates to the Temperature Special.

Cooler temps mean hotter deals on golf

Here's the deal: The price of golf at The Ranches is half of the previous day's high temperature. So if we have a cool day with a temperature of 66 degrees, the next day's 18 hole rate (cart included) is just $33. Cut it in half for the nine-hole rate.

If it gets really chilly, say 56 degrees, the price the next day is just $28!

So don't miss your last chances of the season. Get some golf in before the holiday.

At these prices, you can't help but feel all warm inside.

Those of you who are old-timers out here at The Ranches Golf Club know how far we've come. Or better said, how long it used to take to get out here. But those days are long gone.

With the completion of both Pioneer Crossing and 2100 north in Lehi, getting to The Ranches is a cinch from anywhere along the I-15 corridor.

The new 2100 North exit of I-15 in Lehi connects to Redwood road in the west, making the trip across the river and out to Saratoga Springs just a couple minutes. And if you're coming to The Ranches from the south, Pioneer Crossing has made the trek just as short. UDOT officially opened 2100 North on Saturday September 24 and has been making drivers happy ever since.

Our informal drive proved that you can get to The Ranches clubhouse from I-15 on either Pioneer Crossing or 2100 North in just 10 minutes. 10 minutes! That seems like a dream when compared to the laborious route golfers used to take through Main Street Lehi.

Sometimes the Good Ol' Days just weren't that good. But now, we celebrate the start of many great times at the suddenly-very-close Ranches Golf Club.

Just a reminder to all players in the Ranches Men's Association:

This week marks the closing of the association for the season, and to celebrate an amazing year of golf, we're holding our closing social Thursday September 29 at 5:30.

The Social consists of a short 9-hole tournament with a 5:30 shotgun start, plus food and prizes for just $15 per person. 

Everyone who signs up will be put into four player teams for a 2-Man Best Ball Net.

That's when we're holding The Ranches Golf Club Monster Mash Tournament. All season long you've been putting divots in the fairways, splashes in the sand, and hitting greens and leaving little dimples. All year our greenskeepers have toiled in the heat to clean up after us and with this tournament, they get their revenge!
