Come give them a try before you buy. We’ll have Taylor Made reps on hand to answer your questions and let you hit the industry’s most advanced and popular clubs, including the gorgeous R15, right on The Ranches range. To sweeten the deal, we are also offering 10% off your purchases that evening plus a free round of 18 holes!
Men’s League Opening Social: April 26 at 5:30 pm
Every year The Ranches Golf Club is proud to host the Men’s league. And this year you can come to the opening social and sign up for the league right before or after hitting TaylorMade’s newest clubs. And there will be free food for all who attend.
The opening social offers you the chance to get acquainted and re-acquainted with fellow league members over good food. Talk a little trash and scope out the competition in this fun and interactive night.
Call the clubhouse if you have any questions or to register: 801-789-8100
RULES AND INFORMATION
-Membership fee is $40. This fee covers food for different socials/tourneys and added prizes and prize money throughout the year including Club Championship purse.
-Weekly fee is $17. $10 is your 9 hole green fee. $5 is put in the prize money purse. There is an optional $5 skins game each week.
-The Ranches Mens Association does their own handicaps. You do not need a current UGA Handicap. Handicaps are calculated and modified monthly. This is to insure the handicap is accurate to how each player is playing. Handicaps will start from last year’s handicap or if you don’t have one, will be assigned by host pro Tele Wightman.
-Divisions. Each week the field is broken down into 3 divisions. 0-5, 6-10, and 11-18 handicap
-Tee. Handicaps 1 and up will play from the GOLD tees. Anyone with a handicap of 0 or better will play from the BLACK tee each week. Seniors that 65 and older will play from the SILVER TEE
-To post an eligible score, you will need to play with someone else that is also an Association member to attest score.
-Tee Times. There will be blocks booked out for play in the early morning as well as 430-6pm. You will also need to call and reserve a space within these blocked times.
-Native Grass. We play the Native Grass “as is” and not a lateral hazard. If you hit your ball into the native grass you should hit a provisional in the case of lost ball. Please limit the time spent looking for balls during play to keep the pace of round at a reasonable level.
-Local Bunker Rule: You may play preferred lies in ALL BUNKERS. Place ball one club length from the original location within the hazard and no closer to the hole.
-Pace of Play. Regardless of skill level, please keep up with the group in front of you. Ideal round time is 2:15
-Results: Results will be posted each week on the Mens Association board in the golf Shop. They will also be emailed to you and posted on the The Ranches Facebook page and website. We will use the facebook page for results, announcements, and to help others find someone to play with. Search “The Ranches Men’s Association” and request to “Join the Group”. We will be sure to get you added.
